Course Goal / Objective

To provide students with an advanced understanding of biological, chemical, and general environmental chemistry processes, enabling them to comprehend pollutant transformation mechanisms and apply chemical treatment processes in environmental engineering.

Course Content

IFundamental principles of environmental chemistry, chemical reactions in biological treatment processes, biochemical cycles, chemical processes in water and wastewater treatment, precipitation and coagulation mechanisms, oxidation-reduction reactions, acid-base equilibria, complex formation, chemical equilibrium, and kinetic processes.

Course Precondition

Students are expected to have a fundamental understanding of environmental chemistry and environmental engineering processes.
