Course Goal / Objective

To equip students with advanced analytical skills to assess pollutant pressures on water resources, develop integrated approaches for water quality protection and sustainable management, and utilize advanced monitoring and modeling techniques to formulate water quality management strategies.

Course Content

Anthropogenic and natural pollutant pressures on water resources, integrated approaches in water quality management, advanced water quality monitoring and assessment methods, physicochemical and biological pollutant parameters, water quality modeling techniques, discharge standards and international regulations, pollutant fate and transport, ecosystem-based management strategies, risk assessment methods, and sustainable water management practices.

Course Precondition

Students are expected to have a fundamental understanding of environmental engineering concepts and advanced knowledge of water chemistry and water quality management.
