Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to give knowledge about the structure and function of proteins, the biomedical importance of proteins, hormones in protein structure, protein synthesis, transcription, translation, plasma proteins, hemoglobin, myoglobin, digestion of proteins and various techniques for protein identification.

Course Content

Structure and function of proteins, biomedical importance of proteins, hormones in protein structure, identification of proteins, electrophoresis, chromatography, sequence analysis, protein synthesis, transcription, translation, plasma proteins, hemoglobin, myoglobin, digestion of proteins are explained.
