Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts of microorganisms, the cell structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms, their metabolism and besides to give the information about virus and bacteriophages, alg and protozoae and to discuss the relationship between microorganisms. Besides give the basic knowledge about their genetic.

Course Content

Classification of microorganisms, Cell structures and morphology and systematics of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms, Algae, protozoa, Virus and bacteriophages, Development of microorganisms, nutrient requirements, factors affecting the development of microorganisms and the relationships between microorganisms will be discussed. microorganism metabolism will be given in detail. General and basic concepts and information about microorganism genetics will be given.
