Course Goal / Objective
At the end of this course, the student is expected to recognize the methods, software and algorithms used in the applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for landscape planning, determine the strategies to be followed in landscape planning studies, and know image processing techniques, GIS environment and terminologies.
Course Content
map projections needed in landscaping , interpretation of maps, topographical maps , cartography, georeferenced data, GPS, spatial analysis (point pattern, network, surface, interpolation, single layer, multi layer and overlay analysis) spatial modelling and their advanced practical applications.
