Course Goal / Objective

With this course, we aim to provide students with the mathematical knowledge and skills necessary for their professions and to provide them with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in their business lives.

Course Content

Algebra, Polynomials and their operations, Ratio and proportion and their aplications, Equations, Inequalities, Sigma symbol, product symbol, Sequences, limited sequences and constant sequence, operations of the sequences, Aritmetic sequences, geometric sequences, geometric series and their sums, Fundamentals of geometry, polygons, circle and disk, Geometric objects, coordinate systems, conics, Fundamentals of trigonometry, Trigonometric functions, Functions and their operations, function types, Parabolas and their graphs.

LO01 Students perform basic algebraic operations on polynomials, equations, and inequalities and organize mathematical expressions
LO02 By understanding the concepts of ratio and proportion, students mathematically model and solve problems encountered in daily life

LO04 Students write mathematical expressions more compactly and clearly using sum and multiplication symbols
LO05 Using analytical geometry, students write equations and draw graphs of conic shapes such as parabola and circle on the coordinate plane
LO06 Students define the basic properties of three-dimensional geometric objects and make calculations such as volume and surface area
LO07 Students understand basic trigonometric functions and use them to calculate angles and lengths
LO08 Students draw graphs of functions, define types of functions, and perform basic operations (addition, subtraction, composition, inversion)
