Course Goal / Objective
To inform students about the concepts of growth and development in finance and to raise awareness about the environmental integration of sustainable development by raising awareness on issues related to local economic development.
Course Content
This course includes analysing issues such as economic growth, development and sustainable economic development; central-local relationship in local economic development, Local Development Policies. The scope of the course includes strategic basic elements and elements of local economic development, strategic local economic development programme, the place of environmental sustainability in local economic development, globalisation and local development; the place of regional development agencies in local economic development; development agency practice in Europe and Turkey.
