Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to teach the students the basic principles and practices related to the financial management of local governments, to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the sustainability of local services and to develop the ability to understand and analyse the financial policies of local governments.
Course Content
This course includes analysing the financial management of local governments. The scope of the course includes revenue sources of local governments, expenditure policies, budgeting processes, tax policies, borrowing methods, financial audit and control mechanisms, analysis methods used to evaluate the financial performance of local governments and principles of public finance.
