Course Goal / Objective

In this course, it is aimed that students gain basic information about child mental health, comprehend the importance of mental health, have knowledge about the theories and practices underlying mental health, and transfer their knowledge to children and their families in the educational environment.

Course Content

Definition of mental health, importance of mental health, historical development of mental health, theories about mental health, characteristics of individuals with and without mental health, emotional, behavioral and adaptation problems in children.
