Course Goal / Objective

Within the scope of molecular epidemiology, it is aimed for the student to explain the ways of identifying infectious diseases caused by various microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.) using molecular methods, to know the methods to detect their source, to provide information about their spread, transmission routes, pathogenesis, detection of virulence and resistance genes, and vaccine production.

Course Content

The definition of Molecular Epidemiology includes topics related to its field of use and which methods will be used in the identification of infection, epidemics and pandemics.
