Course Goal / Objective

Identification, classification and determination of formation environments of volcaniclastic rocks

Course Content

It is the rocks formed by the accumulation of all kinds of fragmented-clastic materials coming out of the volcano during volcanic activities in a storage area as a result of the storage processes. Thus, they encompass both volcanic and sedimentary processes. They are also derived from a volcanic source that is more or less wet by sedimentation.

Course Precondition

There are no prerequisites.

Resources

Lecture notes are uploaded to the cubis.

Notes
