Course Goal / Objective

The primary aim of this course is to give detailed information about the biology of commercially important Penaeid shrimp species

Course Content

The topics of this course are: External morphological structures of penaeid shrimps, taxonomy, geographical distribution, physiology, moulting mechanism and growth, digestive systems and nutritional characteristics, blood circulation and respiratory systems, reproductive physiology, growth and life cycles, responses to environmental conditions of Penaeid shrimps
