Course Goal / Objective

Explanation of all aspects of this issue directly related to fish farming and health. In addition, it is aimed to ensure that the high level of comfort of fish used for various purposes (aquaculture, ornamental, experimental) is maintained.

Course Content

Fish welfare criteria, stock density in the feeding environment, morphological observations of reared fish, signs of injury and disease and intervention methods, evaluation of environmental water quality, adequate feeding, associating creature welfare with biochemical tests such as cortisol, ensuring fish welfare in processes such as transportation, drug application and vaccination.
