Course Goal / Objective
To explain the groupings of low molecular weight cytokines secreted with the functions of growth, differentiation and activation in the fish immune system, their mechanisms of action, the roles they play in natural and acquired immunity, and the interaction with cells involved in the immune response.
Course Content
General information about the immune system in fish, lymphoid tissues and organs and their functions, mucosal immunity, function and classification of cytokines, the main identified cytokines in fish and their mechanisms of action, examination of current studies.
