Course Goal / Objective
The purpose of the intern doctor training in the internal medicine clinic is to enable the intern doctor to be able to apply and develop the theoretical and practical knowledge gained in the previous classes, taking the responsibility of the patient, in order to gain all the knowledge and skills that a good general practitioner should have.
Course Content
The duration of the internal medicine internship is 12 weeks. It does not include formal theoretical lessons. One month of internal medicine internship internship is applied as service and one month as polyclinic training. Intern doctors have the same authority and responsibility as their first-year assistants, except for official documents. Therefore, from the moment a patient is admitted to the internal medicine clinic, preparing the file, making the laboratory requests and processing the results of the follow-up, presenting the patient to the faculty member during the visits and taking the necessary suggestions, asking for consultation, monitoring the patient during the hospitalization, presenting the patient at the necessary meetings from vital signs to interventions and preparing for the council, discharge Intern doctors perform all kinds of procedures under the responsibility of the service specialist, senior assistant doctor and or faculty member. -The applications in the above article are also valid for duty work. - Interns working in the polyclinic are responsible for meeting the patient at the time of first application, taking anamnesis, performing a visit examination, presenting the findings to the consultant specialist / faculty member, requesting the necessary laboratory and imaging tests, interpreting these examinations and planning the differential diagnosis and treatment with the consultant specialist / faculty member.
