Course Goal / Objective
Students will be able to interpret the diagnosis and treatment approaches by using the basic concepts and principles of general surgery-related diseases in the analysis of clinical cases, to choose the appropriate diagnosis and treatment approaches for the situation they encounter, to apply clinical skills adequately, and to gain appropriate attitudes and behaviors about professional and ethical values.
Course Content
In this internship application, students are divided into four main groups; history taking and basic examination training and practice, theoretical lessons, file preparation, bedside training, visits, clinical-pathological, case meetings. Interns follow up patients in General Surgery Services and other services with general surgery patients under the supervision of faculty members and assistants. They learn about practical applications of surgery, make observations, gain skills, participate in surgeries as sterile and/or observers.
