Course Goal / Objective
Within the scope of the course, it is aimed for the students to gain the skills to analyze the plants that can be used in treatment, their active ingredients, and their distribution in our country and to make evaluations in this direction.
Course Content
This course includes plant cell and structure, plant substances, functions of plant substances in plants, defense and communication in plants, plant parts (drugs), drug active substance groups (alkaloids, glycosides, phenolic substances, resins and oils), preparation of drugs, medical drug forms, dosage, medicinal plants used in veterinary medicine, advantages and disadvantages of medicinal plants.
