Course Goal / Objective

Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to teach basic information about the preparation of permanent and temporary slides used in Acarology, making them suitable for diagnosis and storing them in the most appropriate conditions.

Course Content

The preparation of media used in permanent and temporary slide mountings, which form the basis of acarology studies, will be explained practically. The prepared media and the slide preparation stages of permanent and temporary slides of plant pests and predatory mite species from the agriculturally important orders Astigmata, Prostigmata and Mesostigmata within the Acarina subclass will be explained in detail.
