Course Goal / Objective

To teach the effects of Antioxidant Systems and Lipid Peroxidation.

Course Content

When free radicals are formed from endogenous or exogenous sources, the antioxidant system mechanism steps in to prevent damage. In addition, the cell membrane is the part most affected by free radicals and therefore where lipid peroxidation begins.
