Course Goal / Objective
Teaching the international phonetic alphabet used for German diction, enabling the student to interpret German songs and arias with correct pronunciation.
Course Content
German Phonetics-Diction: The German alphabet, German phonetic rules.
Course Precondition
None
Resources
A German diction and phonetics book, along with German opera and Lied repertoire books from different periods, printed in various editions for different vocal timbres.
