Course Goal / Objective

To understand the role of existentialism in education and to comprehend the relationship between the basic concepts and problems of existential philosophy and education. Thus, by understanding the role of existentialism in education, to put a concrete text in the process of writing a philosophical text within the framework of the relationship between existentialism and education.

Course Content

The emergence and basic concepts of existential philosophy; education and existential philosophy; education, existential attitude and criticism; the problem of reality and freedom in existentialism; discussions on the meaning of human existence; existential issues in education; existentialist practices in education; examination of existentialist texts related to education
