Course Goal / Objective
It aims to enable students to understand the historical roots, evolution and various intellectual approaches of art education. This course examines how art education has been shaped from ancient times to the present day and which philosophical, pedagogical and cultural approaches have guided it, enabling students to develop a critical perspective in a historical context.
Course Content
The historical development of art education is discussed within a broad framework, starting from the craftsmanship concepts of Ancient Greece and the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance workshop systems, academic art education models, reform movements in the 19th and 20th centuries and contemporary art education approaches.
