Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students taking a postgraduate course in the Department of Tafsir with the competence to understand and interpret the Ulumu’l-Quran Literature in detail.

Course Content

In this course, firstly, information is given about the subject of Ulum al-Quran and then, together with the process, the formation processes and reasons of the Ulum al-Quran literature are explained in detail.

LO01 Students taking this course contribute to their field competence by acquiring information from primary sources regarding the historical course of Ulumu’l-Quran Literature.
LO02 By analyzing the change in the sources of Ulumu’l-Qur’an literature along with the process and the nature of this change, one acquires analytical reading skills on the path to expertise.
LO03 It is possible to make more qualified historical readings by seeing the schools that emerged in the historical process and in what framework and on what subjects the discussions of these schools developed.
LO04 After gaining the competence to read literature dialectically, the student will be able to read and evaluate on his/her own and thus gain the opportunity to improve his/her academic activity and competence.
