Course Goal / Objective

To provide students with technical and engineering information on exploration in mineral deposits, reserve account, cut off grade, planning of preparation and excavation works, operations to be carried out until production starts (large and small preparations, manual, semi-mechanized and fully mechanized excavation, drilling-blasting, fortification, well drilling, etc.). to give.

Course Content

Terms used in mining; mineral exploration methods; sampling methods; reserve account; cut off grade account; excavation by hand and machine; other excavation methods; major preparations (opening of the well and main gallery); minor preparations (intravenous preparations); drilling-blasting process (drilling of holes; explosive materials used), supporting operations; occupational health and safety practices in underground enterprises.
