Course Goal / Objective

To be able to define the basic concepts related to Surveying Engineering, to comprehend the properties and uses of surveying instruments and to provide a sufficient level of knowledge about surveying in engineering applications.

Course Content

Surveying Engineering; types of land surveying; instruments; measurements and errors; accuracy and precision; distance measurements: taping and electronic distance measurement; angle measurements; field operations; computations and adjustment of measurements; area calculations; project implementations.
