Course Goal / Objective

To teach the basic theoretical and practical concepts of drilling and to be able to solve possible problems.

Course Content

History of the drilling process, classification of drillings, drilling methods, properties of drilling mud, drilling drills, drilling machines, air drilling, core drilling, reverse circulation downhole gun drilling, ODEX drilling method, oil and natural gas drilling, geothermal drilling, formation-induced drilling difficulties in drilling, evaluation of drillings in terms of OHS.
