Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to give fundamental knowledge on the concentration methods to extract valuable minerals from ores, to show the basics for evaluation of the processes.

Course Content

Gravity Separation Methods, Theory of Electrostatic Separation Process, Application of Electrostatic Separation Process, Theory of Magnetic Separation Process, Application of Magnetic Separation Process, Devices Used in Magnetic Separation Process and Selection of These Devices, Leaching of Low-Grade Ores into Solution, Necessary Stages for Leaching Low-Grade Ores into Solution, Recovery of Metals from Leached Solution, Increasing the Metallic Ion Concentration in the Solution (Ion Exchange), Increasing the Metallic Ion Concentration in the Solution (Solvent Extraction).
