Course Goal / Objective

The primary aim of this course is to develop knowledge and understanding of social and emotional development in early childhood, as well as social skills; additionally, it seeks to provide prospective teachers with practical experience in fostering the development of these skills.

Course Content

The main topics of this course include the social and emotional development of individuals in early childhood, the concept of social skills, types of social skills, and how these skills are acquired and assessed. The course aims to help prospective teachers develop knowledge and understanding in supporting children’s acquisition of social skills appropriate to their developmental domains, selecting suitable materials, and making effective plans. In addition, the course is designed to provide practical processes that enable teachers to foster social skill development in children.
