Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach students how to compute and interpret descriptive statistics and correlation analyses commonly used in psychological research, to develop their skills in presenting data using graphs, and to enable them to perform these analyses using a statistical software package.
Course Content
This course covers the role of statistics in psychology, frequency distributions, types of data, graphical representations and interpretation, measures of central tendency and variability, the standard normal distribution, z-scores, correlation coefficients, and simple linear regression. All topics are supported with hands-on applications using statistical software, including data entry, data organization, and basic descriptive analyses.
