Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamental theories in the field of psychological counseling and to enhance students’ theoretical knowledge. The course aims to help students understand the core concepts, perspectives on human nature, and the implications of these theories for the counseling process, as well as to develop their ability to compare different theoretical approaches and apply theoretical knowledge in counseling practice.
Course Content
This course aims to introduce the fundamental theoretical approaches in the field of psychological counseling. Traditional theories such as Freud's psychoanalytic theory, Jung's analytical psychology, Adler's individual psychology, and transactional analysis will be explored in terms of their key concepts, perspectives on human nature, and implications for the counseling process. The strengths and limitations of these theories will be discussed, along with their contributions to counseling practice.
