Course Goal / Objective
To have comprehensive knowledge about the Turkish economy and to gain the ability to comment and analyze with current data about the Turkish economy.
Course Content
The historical development of the Turkish economy, the basic characteristics of the Turkish economy and its place in the world economy, the developments in the Turkish economy over the years, the developments and changes in the sectors of the Turkish economy, the economy of the Republic period and the economic situation during the World War II are examined. After the liberal period between 1950 and 1960, the focus will be on the planned economy period between the structural transformation process in 1980. The Turkish economy, which was in the open economy process integrated with the world markets after 1980, will be examined in detail.
