Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to deeply examine the anatomical basis of body-focused exercises such as Pilates and Yoga and to understand the effects of these exercises on the musculoskeletal system. This course aims to provide the ability to apply and teach these types of exercises safely, effectively and efficiently by explaining how the anatomical structure of the body works during pilates and yoga practices.

Course Content

At the end of the course, which aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the anatomical foundations of Pilates and Yoga, students will be able to effectively learn and apply these exercise types with theoretical and practical knowledge.

Course Precondition

There are no prerequisites for the course.

Resources

1. Current articles and online resources 2. Dere Anatomy Atlas and Textbook 3. Dere Atlas of Neuroanatomy and Functional Neurology

Notes

Additional readings will be given as part of the course.
