Course Goal / Objective

The purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the basic principles of Clinical Pilates education, the fundamentals of anatomy and biomechanics, to apply Clinical Pilates exercises correctly and to gain approaches to improving posture, balance, flexibility, core stabilization and general functional capacity.

Course Content

Course content includes the history and basic principles of Pilates, the definition of Clinical Pilates and its relationship with physiotherapy, the spine, core muscle group and breathing control, posture analysis and Clinical Pilates applications, safety principles in Clinical Pilates exercises, and basic exercise training with mats and small equipment.
