Course Goal / Objective

Teaching site selection criteria for an engineering structure; investigation methods; engineering geology maps; landslide and slope stability studies; behavior of rocks in terms of mining; tunnel geology; and conceptual model development.

Course Content

Introduction; engineering geology investigation methods; site selection; determination of the engineering geological properties of rocks; preparation of engineering geological maps; groundwater; landslide investigation methods; Tunnel rock mass classification systems and excavation support methods; and the conceptual engineering geological model.

Course Precondition

To have learned the subjects of rock and soil mechanics.
