Course Goal / Objective
Understanding the importance of reproduction in poultry and its significance for breeding
Course Content
Female reproductive system; male reproductive system; stages of egg formation; spermatozoid formation, sperm quality and storage; embryonic development; factors affecting fertilization; relationship between lighting, nutrition and reproduction; criteria for reproductive performance; evaluation of reproductive performance; mating, artificial insemination, sexual behavior in males and females; Innovations in reproductive biology in poultry
