Course Goal / Objective

To provide advanced knowledge on biotechnological methods used in the diagnosis, control and management of fish diseases and to enable students to evaluate modern molecular approaches in disease management.

Course Content

Biotechnological methods used in the diagnosis, monitoring and control of bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic diseases in fish are discussed. Molecular diagnostic techniques, vaccine development, immunostimulants, biomarker analyses, omics technologies and sustainable disease management approaches are covered.
