Course Goal / Objective
he aim of this course is to enable doctoral students to critically analyze the relationship between migration, culture, and health at an advanced level; to comprehensively assess the care needs of migrants, refugees, and individuals with diverse cultural characteristics; and to plan culturally sensitive, ethical, human rights-based, and evidence-based nursing interventions.
Course Content
This course covers the social, cultural, and structural determinants of migration on health; different cultures’ perceptions of health, illness, and care; and culturally sensitive and evidence-based nursing approaches for migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable groups.
