Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to equip students with the ability to analyse the relationships between spatial organisation and user behaviour within the framework of spatial layout theory. The course aims to enable students to evaluate the topological structure of interior spaces, as well as their levels of accessibility and integration, using analytical methods.

Course Content

The fundamental concepts of spatial configuration theory; spatial configuration, connectivity, integration and separation relationships; axial and segmental analysis methods; visibility analysis; the relationship between space and movement; circulation and access planning in interior spaces; the interpretation of analytical data and its integration into the design process. As part of the course, practical analysis exercises are carried out using examples of interior spaces at different scales.

Course Precondition

There are no prerequisites for this course.
