Microeconomics is a social science that examines the effects of individual human activities, particularly how these decisions influence the use and distribution of scarce resources. Microeconomics explains how and why different goods have different values, how individuals make more efficient or effective decisions, and how individuals can best coordinate and cooperate with one another.
