Course Goal / Objective
The study of infectious diseases and epidemiology in terms of person, place, and time. Investigating the causes and solutions to these events. Identifying and defining the historical development of epidemiology, its areas of application, and the criteria used to determine the health level of a population.
Course Content
This course covers topics such as the relationship between causative agents, the environment, and human factors in infectious diseases; frequently used terminology in the epidemiology of infectious diseases; mechanisms of infection spread within the human body; the body's defense mechanisms; and the elements of the infection chain and their roles in infection control.
