Course Goal / Objective

o provide students with a comprehensive understanding of raw materials with high supply risks, their roles in high-tech applications, sustainable supply chain management, and recovery from secondary sources.

Course Content

Definition and methodology of criticality; global and national raw material strategies; geology and beneficiation methods of strategic minerals such as rare earth elements (REE), lithium, cobalt, graphite, antimony, and magnesium; urban mining and circular economy; Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and environmental sustainability in mining.
