Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to enable agricultural technician students to get to know themselves, recognize their interests and abilities, consciously evaluate career opportunities in the agricultural sector, and be guided in creating a career plan that aligns with their goals. In this context, the course aims to provide students with information about job opportunities in the public and private sectors, particularly familiarize them with institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the State Hydraulic Works, prepare them for job application processes, and develop skills in CV creation, LinkedIn usage, and interviewing.
Course Content
This course aims to help students get to know themselves, assess their interests and abilities, and consciously analyze career opportunities in the agricultural sector. The career planning process, goal setting, and decision-making are discussed, while job opportunities in areas such as crop production, animal husbandry, greenhouse farming, and agricultural technologies are examined. Opportunities in both the public and private sectors are evaluated, with particular attention given to institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the State Hydraulic Works. Furthermore, entrepreneurship, government support, internship opportunities, CV preparation, LinkedIn usage, and interview techniques are emphasized to prepare students for professional life, and they are expected to create a personal career plan by the end of the course.
