Cukurova University Imamoglu Vocational School Laboratory Technology Program started to recruit students in 2016-2017 academic year. The aim of this program is to train technical intermediate staff who can work in chemical, environmental and medical analysis laboratories which make and evaluate plant, soil, water and food analysis for increasing the variety and quality of agricultural products.

Goals
The aim of this program is to train technical intermediate staff who can work in chemical, environmental and medical analysis laboratories which make and evaluate plant, soil, water and food analysis for increasing the variety and quality of agricultural products.
Objectives
The Laboratory Technology program will bring up leri Laboratory Technicians ”that will serve private and public institutions (agriculture, health, environment, forest and food), research institutes and universities. These technicians will meet the intermediate requirements in the laboratory techniques of the public and private sectors at national and regional levels, and provide solutions to the expectations and problems of the sectors.
Specific Admission Requirements
They can be placed in the program with the YGS-2 exam of OSYM.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students graduate from this program by completing 120 ECTS/ECTS credits. It must be completed all the courses in the program and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 for graduation. In addition, students are required to complete their 30-day professional internship. Students who meet the program requirements graduate with an associate degree in Laboratory Technology and receive the title of Laboratory Technician. The courses showing the competencies gained in the education process are indicated in the diploma supplement after graduation.
Access to Further Studies
Program graduates can enter the undergraduate programs foreseen by YÖK with DGS (Vertical Transition Exam)
Internship
The students of this program are in the first class II. semester In the end, 30 working days will be able to do internships in laboratories of health, biology, chemistry, food and agriculture fields of public or private sector workplaces.

Double Major, Additional Major & Exchange Possibilities
Students can apply for one or two semesters in other higher education institutions in accordance with the agreements and protocols made between other higher education institutions abroad or in Turkey, if they have succeeded in all previous education activities. The equivalence of the courses, practices, internships and similar activities in students' own curriculum is determined in advance by the decision of the administrative board regarding the recommendation of the advisor and the relevant department chair.
