Course Goal / Objective
Teaching the purpose and importance of technical drawing. Teaching computer aided drawing program. Teaching two-dimensional drawing and dimensioning. Extraction of two-dimensional projections and sectional views of three-dimensional shapes. Obtaining isometric views from parts with two known views.
Course Content
Introduction to technical drawing and drawing tools and their use. Introduction and use of lines. Introduction to AutoCad. Geometric shapes, ellipses and non-circular curves. Projections. Picture reading. Perspective drawing; isometric and oblique projection. Sectional views. Dimensioning. Assembly.
