Course Goal / Objective
To learn Human Physiology adapted to Biomedical Engineering.
Course Content
Introduction to physiology, cellular physiology; Communication between cells, electrical potentials in cells; Muscle physiology; Nervous system physiology, transmission at synapses, sensory system; Hearing, balance and vision systems; Motor functions; Learning and memory, limbic system, autonomic system; Circulatory system, electrophysiology of heart, function of heart muscle, regulation of heart function; Blood flow, exchange of substances in capillary, venous return; Respiratory physiology; Digestive physiology; Blood physiology, endocrine and reproductive physiology
