Course Goal / Objective
Teaching Basic Statistics concepts and basic statistical methods, providing students with the knowledge to compile statistical data, use these data, solve problems and evaluate them.
Course Content
Descriptive statistics: Definition and basic concepts of statistics, nature of statistical research, compiling and summarizing statistical data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, random variables and probability distributions, sampling distributions, statistical decision making, hypothesis tests, chi-square tests, contingency tables, It covers independence testing, central tendency measures, variability measures, probability and probability calculation, discrete and continuous distributions, binomial and Poisson distributions, normal distribution and continuous normal distribution methods and applications.
