Course Goal / Objective

The primary objective of this course is to help students understand the fundamental logic of modern video technologies and to equip them with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to utilize these technologies effectively. Students will gain a strong foundation in resolution, frame rate, color management, and other key concepts related to video production processes. Additionally, the course aims to develop students' ability to solve technical problems they may encounter in the industry and enhance their analytical thinking skills.

Course Content

This course covers the historical development of video technology, the operational principles of analog and digital systems, and the fundamental mechanisms of modern video technology. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of video production processes, aspect ratios, and broadcast formats, while exploring contemporary technologies used in cinema and broadcasting. The theoretical component of the course examines the differences between analog and digital video technologies, fundamental concepts such as resolution and color depth, while the practical component focuses on reinforcing learned knowledge through hands-on exercises. After the midterm, the course will emphasize practical exercises to strengthen students' understanding of video technologies.

Course Precondition

1. In order to conduct this course, the student must have a computer to use editing applications. 2. In order to conduct this course, the student is expected to have access to editing application software.
