Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to enable prospective teachers to effectively and critically use information technologies in education, understand the fundamental concepts related to the instructional process and instructional technologies, and develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in instructional material design. The course also aims to help students recognize contemporary literacies, analyze new trends in learning approaches, design thematic instructional materials, create domain-specific object repositories, and evaluate instructional materials based on established criteria.

Course Content

Information technologies in education; classification of the instructional process and instructional technologies; theoretical approaches to instructional technologies; new trends in learning approaches; contemporary literacies; instructional technologies as tools and materials; design of instructional materials; designing thematic instructional materials; creating a domain-specific object repository; criteria for evaluating instructional materials.
