Course Goal / Objective
After gaining academic basic information about conceptual art and installation, it is aimed to reveal the way of expression of the student, to contribute to the skills of transferring creativity to visuality and to look at the innovations and changes of the age from an artistic point of view, to gain interdisciplinary working experience, and to experience the processes of creative design in practice.
Course Content
In this course; Examining the art of installation or installation, a hybrid style rooted in conceptual art and supported by many different visual art disciplines besides contemporary art, in the historical process, explaining it with examples, preparing a sketch design file for various applications. Afterwards, it is planned to carry out workshops and experimental installation works. Unlike traditional works of art, installation, which does not contain an art object independent of the environment, is created for a specific space, uses and examines the qualities of the space, and where audience participation is a basic requirement, installation can be applied in indoor or outdoor spaces. At the end of the course, the student must have produced at least one installation work.
