Course Goal

The application of haploidy techniques in order to develop phases in vegetables in a short time, and the development of diploid plants folded from haploid plants constitute the purpose of this course.

Course Content

Importance of haploidy technique, natural formation ways of haploid plants, obtaining by in vivo and in vitro techniques (anther cultures, ovule - ovarian cultures, pollen irradiation etc.), dihaploidization of obtained haploids by chromosome folding, direct and indirect methods used in determining ploidy, dihaploid plants The theoretical and practical information about their use in breeding and the application of these methods in important vegetable species constitute the content of this course.
